Taking Care of Our Mothers, Daughters, Wives, and Sisters.....
League of African American Women is a 501 (c)3 non profit corporation headquartered in St.Louis, MO. We are a women led organization that specializes in the Health and Social Well Being of underserved and underrepresented women.
By offering resources, awareness, and support to Black women we offer hope, courage, and inspiration to the entire community. Some of our programs include: Health and Social Wellness, Financial Literacy, Youth Empowerment, and Women's Issues.
Some of our primary agendas include creating more awareness and support for younger Black women who are either patients or survivors of breast cancer and focusing on building and preserving communities through youth advocacy and green living and sustainability programs and projects. League of African American Women is a vanguard of creating awareness, support, and help for young Black women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer, domestic violence, and other serious health and social issues. Much of our work is done out in the community. As a 'go-to the community' organization, we focus on going out into the community at schools and colleges, religious centers and churches, and community outreach centers with information and resources that provide resources and information on health and social well being as well as current affairs and national trends.
We believe strongly that we are contributing greatly to the entire community, to American society, and to the world by taking care of its Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Wives, and Friends.
